One Ocean Expeditions Announces Podcast Series Featuring Leading Adventurers and Explorers
London, 1 May 2019 – Entering the world of podcasting, One Ocean Expeditions (OOE) is pleased to announce the launch of ‘Polar Tales’ a podcast providing anecdotes from the field, including interviews with experts, adventurers and explorers who have travelled to the frozen landscapes of the polar regions from the Canadian High Arctic and Spitsbergen to Antarctica and South Georgia.
Hosted and produced by OOE Guide and Naturalist, Matt Allen, Polar Tales provides an entertaining and educational insight into all things polar. Recorded on board OOE vessels, Polar Tales covers topics such as marine science, natural history and climate change, as well as forays into the field of wildlife encounters and exclusive chats with a wide range of experts traveling on board with the small-ship expedition company.
People can listen to Matt Allen’s Polar Tales on ITunes, Spotify, Stitcher, IHeartRadio and TuneIn and find the latest updates on the One Ocean Expeditions blog here: https://discover.oneoceanexpeditions.com/polar-tales-podcast-series/
“A connection to the poles is imperative for the survival of our oceans and blue planet,” says host Matt Allen. “Whether knowledge is acquired experientially or intellectually, a deeper understanding is critical to the psychology to want to conserve and protect. This opportunity presented by One Ocean Expeditions to host the Polar Tales podcast will hopefully not only entertain and educate, but provide the means to immerse the listener into the magical and remote places in which we travel.”
A second brand-new podcast presented by OOE was announced by Canadian Geographic last month as they launched ‘Explore’, a weekly show featuring interviews with Canada’s most renowned modern-day explorers. Hosted by David McGuffin, a veteran broadcast journalist and foreign correspondent, the series allows listeners to travel the world from the comfort of their living room, as they listen to those that push the boundaries of exploration.
As the exclusive marine expedition travel partner of The Royal Canadian Geographic Society and Canadian Geographic, OOE is proud to support the 10-episode podcast series that will introduce listeners to 10 of Canada’s greatest explorers, including astronaut Dr. Roberta Bondar, leading underwater cave diver Jill Heinerth and solo Arctic adventurer Adam Shoalt.
Canadian Geographic’s Explore can be heard on ITunes, Spotify, Google Play and Soundcloud. Find out more here: cangeo.ca/explore
