One Ocean Expeditions private view of the Lines in the Ice exhibition at London’s British Library
Travel writers and representatives from associations such as Scott Polar Research Institute, RSPB, South Georgia Heritage Trust and IAATO enjoyed a couple of hours wandering around the exhibits with curator, Phil Hatfield, whose enthusiasm for the Arctic is infectious.
A good evening was had by all during One Ocean Expeditions private view held at the Lines in the Ice exhibition at London’s British Library. A sprinkling of One Ocean Expeditions past clients, along with travel trade professionals (including two who came all the way from China and Japan!).
Andrew Prossin, MD and owner of One Ocean Expeditions, gave everyone a good insight into the events of last summer and the companies involvement in the amazing find of Franklin’s lost vessel, HMS Erebus. Andrew was followed by Katie Murray, One Ocean Expeditions onboard historian, who fascinated everyone with her incredible knowledge of polar history, dates and Northwest Passage exploration.
One guest made comment that the canapés at the Lines in Ice Exhibition at the British Library were out of this world – I had my first-ever smoked salmon and caviar ice cream cone! Actually, my first three!
